Please arrive to the studio 5-10 minutes before class, so that you can set up your space and be ready for class on time.  If you are brand new to Sacred Space, please arrive 15 minutes early.

Yoga is most beneficial and most comfortable when practiced on an empty stomach.  Try not to eat for at least 1 hour prior to class.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to explore your full range of motion and breath.  Leggings, sweat pants, or shorts and tank tops or fitted shirts are good for practicing in.  Clothes that are too baggy can get in your way and they limit my ability to help you.

We practice yoga in bare feet.  Please take your shoes and socks off at the door.

Please turn your cell phone off upon entering the yoga studio, so as not to disturb the class. (Vibrating phones will still be heard if they happen to go off during class.)

Yoga mats are available to borrow for class; however, for hygiene purposes, it is best to have your own personal mat.  Yoga mats are for sale at the studio for $25.

Yoga is not a competition.  You are perfect as you are.  Listen to the verbal instructions of the teacher (and don't worry about putting your head on your knee just because the person next to you is doing it).
